Extension Agent, Commercial Vegetable Production

I am responsible for providing educational programs to support vegetable and fruit production in Palm Beach County and to offer continuing education units (CEUs). In collaboration with growers, industry members, and UF/IFAS faculty, I design, conduct, and evaluate studies that assess improved weed and pest management tactics, crop response to fertilizers and soil amendments, and vegetable variety performance. I collaborate with other extension agents to respond to training needs of growers, harvesters, and packing house personnel regarding the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), as well as Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs). I am also responsible for preparing educational publications while promoting agriculture via multiple platforms.
