EREC Conference Center
The University of Florida's IFAS Everglades REC Conference Center was funded by a challenge grant from the Sugar Cane Grower's Cooperative of Florida, matched by general revenue funding from the University of Florida.
The Conference Center is located adjacent to the Wedgworth Laboratory Building on the EREC campus. It serves as a multi-purpose facility which provides three meeting rooms that open for use as one large conference room. The Center guidelines limit the use of the facility to agriculture related functions: educational workshops, meetings, and conferences, that attract a large number of participants, both locally and internationally. State-of-the-art audio and visual presentation equipment is available.
- Friday Seminar Series
The EREC Friday Seminar Series has been a part of our Conference Center schedule since September, 2001. These monthly sessions are designed to present information related to the research and extension activities of our faculty, and programs and projects of interest from the University of Florida, and other related industries. Programs are open to the public and are announced in advance. Seminars are scheduled October to May, generally on the first Friday of the month.
