Symptoms

Terminal foliage exhibiting upward cupping of leaflets, petioles of these leaves turn downward; leaflets with a mild mottling and some vein clearing but no necrosis; plants stunted without fruit symptoms.

Pathogen Spread

Aphid-transmitted from abandoned infected crops or infected solanaceous weed hosts.

Favorable Conditions

Cool winter seasons, with abundant aphid flights.
