House Flies

Musca domestica

• Adult: gray, 3/8 in. length.
• Egg: whitish, elongate, laid in fruit near damaged or rotten spots.
• Larva: white maggots with black mouth hooks feeding on rotten fruit.
• Pupa: yellow to brownish, near larvae
• Damage: larvae develop on unharvested and culled fruit and become nuisance pests after developing to adult.
