Dr. McCray began working with the University of Florida at the Everglades REC in 2004 after working in soil fertility research for 13 years with the United States Sugar Corporation. My research program centers on nutrition of sugarcane and rice and related agronomic topics. Collaboration with other members of the agronomy team at EREC and SWFREC (Immokalee) is important in accomplishing our research goals.
Extension
My primary extension responsibility is to work with growers and the area sugarcane/agronomy agent regarding sugarcane and rice nutrition. We are working to be responsive to growers’ questions and problems. We will try to respond to questions or requests for field visits as quickly as possible.
