Assignment:

     Dr. Nuessly has worked at the EREC since 1989. His current assignment includes 70% research, 30% extension on insect integrated pest management in vegetables, sugarcane and turfgrass.

Active Projects:

     Banded cucumber beetle on cos lettuce: host plant resistance.

     Fall armyworm control in sweet and silage corn: chemical control and host plant resistance.

     Greenbug on seashore paspalum turfgrass: biology, chemical control and host plant resistance.

     Local and statewide monitoring of Florida aphid species
